John Manley is an experienced investigator specialising in fraud and cyber-crime. The former Detective Inspector helped establish the Fraud Squad's first computer crime squad. He changed the way Victoria Police dealt with online crime.
In his forty-six years in the job, John worked in CIB's, the Fraud Squad, Financial Services Division, the Tricontinental Royal Commission and headed up JACET, or the Joint Anti-Child Exploitation Team.

Neale Fursdon is not your average Detective Senior Sergeant. The former Victoria Police officer spent most of his career working in the developing world.
He was seconded to PNG to help create a drug squad. Neale also worked with local police in fourteen Pacific Island countries and dealt with human trafficking in Bangladesh. He also worked in Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia with Aus-Aid, US-Aid and the U.N.

Liz Salmon aka "Rousey" was known for never taking a backwards step. The former Victoria Police Sergeant worked in community policing, highway patrol, traffic operations and general duties, but it was her lobbying for women's equality in the job where she really made a difference.
After nearly 28 years of being a policewoman, Liz is still making a difference to the communities in country Victoria.

Detective Senior Sergeant Charlie Bezzina was unaware of the consequences when he got a call about a missing teenager Elizabeth Stevens one night in June, 1993. The former Homicide detective couldn't have known it was the start of a series of murders of young women in Melbourne's south.
Charlie Bezzina was in charge of one of the Homicide crews that first tracked serial killer Paul Charles Denyer. He reflects on that case and what motivates someone to kill another person.

Myrene Purcell is not your typical ex-Victoria Police member. The former Senior Sergeant trained in the Army, was the first female member of the Prison Squad and qualified as a social worker after she left the job.
She was the only policewoman in Seymour before being transferred to the Sexual Offences Squad, in the Crime Squads and inner-city CIB's before becoming a detective.
Working as an operational police member gave Myrene a strong foundation to continue to work in the family violence space as a social worker.

Former Homicide detective Charlie Bezzina knew the "Black Prince of Lygon Street" Alphonse Gangitano. The experienced officer spent 38 years in the job, 17 years in the Homicide Squad and investigated more than 300 suspicious deaths.
But he never expected to find the Melbourne gangland figure dead in his underwear. The infamous criminal had been gunned down in the laundry of his home in January 1998. Charlie was one of the first police members on the scene and tasked with investigating Alphonse's death. To this day, he knows who murdered the gangster, but the case still remains officially unsolved.

Sergeant Peter Lukaitis had no idea of who or what he was facing when he was called to a Kangaroo Flat scene in 1999. The experienced officer walked into a seige where a gunman was targeting cops.
Peter and three of his colleagues were shot and seriously injured in the incident. It remains the single biggest number of officers shot at one scene in Victoria Police history.
The former officer is a recipient of the prestigious Victoria Police Valour Award and National Bravery Medal for his courageous actions that night.
